Sharon Rovenstine, O.D.

Dr. Rovenstine is the president of Dr. Sharon Rovenstine, Optometrist, P.C. dba Associated Optical. She received her Bachelor’s Degree Suma Cum Laude from Wichita State University and spent nine years teaching kindergarten through eighth grade. Dr. Rovenstine earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree Cum Laude from Illinois College of Optometry, where she was recipient of the Illinois Optometric Education Scholarship and member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Rovenstine completed externships in pediatrics and contact lens at Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, advanced care at Gottlieb Eye Center in Melrose Park, contact lens at VisionCare Specialists in Des Plaines and primary care at Great Lakes Naval Base. In addition to comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fits, Dr. Rovenstine diagnoses and treats conditions such as dry eye syndrome, allergies, infections, injuries, glaucoma, and binocular vision disorders. She also monitors diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration and cataracts. She is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
